…even Stand Up Comedy!
Ok guys…so a while back I decided to take a stand up comedy class, not because I have decided to make a career move or anything…but simply to know what that feels like to make people laugh on command. GO! I have been on stage many times, but for some reason this really felt like I was slowly fading into a black abyss of WHO KNOWS WHAT?!?! I spent weeks gathering material and trying to understand the true meaning of a punch line, and for my VERY 1st Set…its not half bad. There are a million things I wish I would have done differently, but none-the-less…I did IT. Which is more than a lot of people can say. Watch, but don’t judge. Laugh as you please, but please just know that #ImNotFunny.

Well…I know what you are thinking, but no it wasn’t MY wedding proposal! I did have the pleasure of being a part of what might be THE most elaborate, off the wall proposal I have ever seen. I believe I was in the make up chair for about 3 hours preparing for my 1st CO STAR role on the WB’s “Hart of Dixie” playing the one and ONLY Zombie #5. We are really moving up in the world people. This was an amazing evening on set and I even got some camera time too. See if you can find me…

If you know me at all you know that I am a sucker for anything vintage. My mother bought me my first pair of saddle shoes when I was 7 years old. All I listened to growing up was the billboard chart toppers of the 1950′s. I have a closet full of grandma’s old dresses and jewelry! And Im on the hunt for an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow pok-a-dot bikini for this summers beach festivities of course. So imagine my surprise when I walked into the Maxwell DeMilles Cicada Club downtown Los Angeles this past Sunday night for a lil Cinco de Mayo vintage celebration! The dress code is strictly enforced and all were dressed to the nines! A historic night of Dining and Dancing and us…the Charleston Qtease with Bling Diva Entertainment. A night to remember, and hopefully repeated!

Oh What a feeling, to be loved.

I am still floating from my fantastic trip to the big apple this past week.  I just absolutely love the city in the spring.  Not only did I get to visit with many of my nearest and dearest friends, but I was completely inspired by the vibration and energy of that city.  I believe that I came back to LA a better person than when I left.

It didn’t take long for me to jump right back on in to things here in LA.  I began my 1st intro class to my new acting studio Anthony Meindl’s Acting Workshop. I was nervous the entire class, but I do think that we are going to get along.  Im looking for a breakthrough and I believe he is the one to give it to me. I will keep you posted.

Well we all know my entire purpose for my trip back east was to support the stars of Motown the Musical, Brandon Victor Dixon and Charl Brown.  Talk about inspiration! These two nailed it!  What an amazing show. The energy, the excitement, the journey, and of course the Music!!!  Its a must see! If for no other reason than to support my friends and family. They are sure to blow you away.

Im back! and I have Great News! Im hittin the Big Apple in 3 days! New York get ready…cause here I come!

Its a beautiful time of the year in the City right now. Flowers are blooming, and the snow is officially done.  Thank goodness because I hate packing the north face.  My best friend Brandon Victor Dixon and my big brother Charl Brown are both starring in the new musical MOTOWN on Broadway…and Im going to OPENING NIGHT! I’ve never been to an official opening night on Broadway before…and for MOTOWN…you know this is about to be crazy!   I get to see some of my Color Purple family on and off the stage, and not to mention all the fantastic A-listers this night will bring! My evenings attire is all picked out, and some of my best work I might add! Here is a lil preview sneak peek! Ill be back to tell you allllll about it.

I can’t believe 2013 has finally arrived!  If you haven’t set your resolutions or intentions for the year yet, be sure to add this one to the list…LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE!  Love yourself like no one has loved you before and watch what the year brings!

I had time to make one more dream come true before 2012 was over.  I performed with Demi Lovato AND Adam Lambert at the vh1 DIVAS LIVE concert.  Check out my performance with DEMI and ADAM!!!
